Guidance for visitors
-
Each patient can have ONE visitor at each booking.
Additional visitors may be permitted in exceptional
circumstances at the discretion of the ward sister/team
leader, such as if patient is receiving end of life care,
on the grounds of compassion, or if the patient requires
the support of a carer. Please be patient with the nursing
teams if they need to put some limits on visiting.
-
Booked visits last a maximum of 1 hour – please manage you
time so our staff don’t have to ask you to leave at the
end of the hour. In exceptional circumstances, the time
booked may be longer, such as for patients receiving end
of life care. Please discuss with the ward team.
-
Please do not come to visit the hospital if you feel
unwell. This includes any COVID-19 symptoms, cold or flu
symptoms, or any signs of sickness.
-
Due to the limited entrance space within Yeovil Hospital,
we are staggering visits to wards on alternate days.
Please speak to the ward clerk who will advise on the days
visits can take place.
-
You must wear a hospital-supplied facemask covering your
mouth and nose throughout your visit (available at the
entrance). If you are mask exempt, we can provide you with
a visor at main reception but please let the ward clerk
know at the time of booking so we can ensure additional
measures are considered.
-
You must clean your hands on entering and leaving the
hospital and the ward.
-
You must maintain social distancing whilst in the
hospital.
-
Please minimise the amount of personal belongings bought
into the hospital.
